Heirloom Summer Savory is a mediterranean herb. It’s foliage is green with a bronze tone. The nice mild flavor of Summer Savory can be used to enhance salads, poultry stuffing, soups, stews, fish, and pizza. Use in potato dishes, tomato sauces, meatballs, vegetable dishes, Especially good with beans, cabbage dishes, herb butters, and vinegar. Mince and combine with bread crumbs for coating fish or vegetables before sauteeing. It draws together diverse flavors. Adapts well to containers and is great for growing in the kitchen. Fast growing. Easy to grow!
Sowing: Direct sow in the garden after the last frost in well drained soil in a full sun location. Barely cover with light sand or fine soil. Keep moist until it sprouts.
