Heirloom
A pre-1722 heirloom, Early White Bush Scallop is an excellent selection. Plant produces very high yields of lovely pan shaped scalloped fruits that start very light green to white and ripen to white. The flesh is very smooth, tender, mild, creamy, and delicious. Excellent for stuffing, creamed squash soup, steaming, grilling, and more. Fruits average 6-7 inches across and 3 inches deep. Bush type plant is good if space is limited. Very Productive. Gourmet. Excellent variety!
Sowing: Plant in full sun outdoors in spring after all danger of frost and soil is warm. Sow seeds 1 inch deep in moist well drained soil. Keep seedbed moderately moist during germination.
