This heirloom winter radish has been grown for more than 300 years. Plant features radishes with a bright rose colored skin on elongated 8 inch long by 2 inch wide roots. Pure white crisp flesh with a pleasant tangy flavor it can be eaten fresh or it can be stored for winter use. Good in salads and fresh. Greens are also edible. Excellent for fall planting. It is a winter variety for sowing in mid to late summer to harvest and store for winters use.
Sowing: Direct sow in mid to late summer. Sow into well cultivated soil 1/2 inch deep. Keep moist during germination. Keep cool and moist to help prevent it running to seed.

Information: Can succession sow every couple of weeks for continuous harvest. Radishes are a cool weather crop and do best in cooler weather. For best results, harvest on time. Harvest in late fall before frost. To be mild tender and attractive they should be grown rapidly with plenty of moisture. If left too long the roots may become hot, tough, and pithy.
