Lemon mint is a lovely wild flower that is a member of the mint family. Both the leaves and the flowers are edible. It is good in teas, making syrups, used in lemonade, and in baking. It’s blooms are a lovely purple to lavender to pink color that form on a spike in a steps formation. Hummingbirds and butterflies love them. Dried flowers have a beautiful citrus aroma that is reminiscent of lemon and they make an attractive and interesting addition to any dried floral arrangement. It is native to the plains regions, but it can be grown in all regions. It blooms heavily and makes a wonderful addition to any flower garden.
