A very popular gourmet green with an distinct, interesting, spicy, smoky flavor. It’s flavor is delicious. Large dark green extra-tender leaves are an excellent addition to salads, and gourmet cooking. Easy to grow. White and tan flowers are edible. Prefers cold weather, and is extremely cold hardy. Excellent selection.
Sowing: Direct sow in early spring 1/4-1/2 inch deep in well drained soil in full sun to partial shade, or in pots indoors. Can also be sown in late summer for a fall crop

Information: Harvest the leaves or the entire plant until flower stems start to shoot up from the center.
