Sowing: Direct sow as soon as soil can be prepared in early spring or in the fall, 1/4-1/2 inch deep. Can be started indoors 8-10 weeks before transplanting out. Keep moist during germination.

Information: To grow large onions from seed plant in garden in full sun, fertile soil, where there is no standing water after heavy rain. Keep well weeded with shallow cultivation. Harvest when the onions have begun to develop skins and tops are falling over. Pull the onion and sun cure at least one week.
