The Gloriosa daisy has 6 inch blooms whose center is brown surrounded by petals in shades of gold, yellow, and mahogany or red. They are bienniels or short lived perennials, blooming the first year. They also reseed themselves readily. Gloriosa daisies make excellent cut flowers. They grow well in almost any soil. They are great in beds and borders. An excellent choice.
Sowing: Plant seed 1/8 of an inch deep in full sun or part shade in the fall or early spring when ground can be worked. Regular watering is important for the first 4 to 6 weeks. They transplant well.
