Red yarrow with it’s beautiful red cluster like flowers and graceful foliage is a beautiful addition to a garden. The plant features green feathery foliage and lovely clusters of lacy red flowers on a 12-30 inch plant. Very tolerant to a variety of soils and conditions. It blooms all summer and is very easy to grow! Good for a perennial border, rock garden, and wildflower garden or meadow. Good used in dried and cut flower floral arrangements. It is attractive to butterflies. The leaves can be cooked as a vegetable much like spinach or it can be added to soups and other dishes. Easy care with low maintenance. A lovely plant to grow!
Sowing: Plant seeds 1/16″ deep in full sun to partial shade. Regular watering is important for at least the first 4-6 weeks.
If seeded heavily it can be aggressive.

Information: It is recommended to apply a thin layer of compost, followed by a 2 inch layer of mulch for the control of weeds and moisture retention. Watering plants in the summer is recommended if the rainfall is less than 1 inch every week. In the fall with the first killing frost cut stems back to about two inches above the soil.
Every three to four years in the spring as new growth begins divide plants by lifting plants and dividing into clumps.
