Bees are very important for a healthy ecosystem. They are the most predominat pollinators of flowering plants. Our Bee Feed mixture contains both annual and perennial flowers that produce pollen, nectar, and nutrition for native bees, honey bees, and other pollinators. It provides bee forage all season long from the spring through the fall. Some annuals may reseed. An excellent blend.
Planting: Plant in the spring to early summer or late fall (in mild climates) For best results loosen soil with a rake or hoe. Mix seeds with one to two parts sand or inert material to one part seeds and broadcast over area. 1 gram covers approximately 7 square feet. Rake in lightly, covering seeds to a maximum of 2-3 times their thickness, or cover with mulch. Keep soil moist for about 4 to 6 weeks then gradually reduce watering. Mixture requires strong filtered sunlight or 1-4 hours of direct sun per day. These plants will not prosper in dense shade.
