It is an All American Selections winner in 1957. It is a very popular variety, Black Beauty Zucchini plants feature dark green glossy smooth fruit that tapers at the end with creamy white flesh on compact and easy to grow plants that produce an abundance of fruit throughout the summer. Delicious flavor and texture it is wonderful when baked, steamed, fresh in salads, grilled, stuffed, boiled, added to soup, in cookies, in bread, and a variety of other ways. Best when picked at 5-7 inches Plants have an open habit which makes it easier to pick. High yields. An excellent choice for the garden!
Sowing: Plant in full sun outdoors in spring after all danger of frost and soil is warm. Sow seeds 1 inch deep in moist well drained soil. Keep seedbed moderately moist during germination.
