Iceland Poppies have fragrant delicate red, orange, white, red pink, and peach-colored delicate tissue paper blooms on 2 foot stems that grow from low growing clumped foliage. Iceland Poppy is native to the northern parts of North America. It will grow in all regions of North America. They are good in borders, beds, wildflower meadows or gardens. They make excellent cut flowers. They make a beautiful display.
Sowing: Direct surface sow seeds in the spring in well drained soil in full sun. Or they can be broadcast over an area by mixing seed with sand and broadcasting seeds.

Information: Remove faded flowers to extend blooming. To use as cut flowers, cut the stem just before the flower opens, sear the bottom of the stem where cut over an open flame, and then place in warm water.
