Cosmos Sea Shells is very unique and beautiful with it’s fluted rolled petals that look like sea shells in colors of white, pink, rose, and crimson with a yellow button eye center. This along with it’s lacy fern like green leaves give this plant a unique lovely effect. Drought, heat, and even neglect tolerant. Cosmos thrives in a sunny garden, good for beds, borders, walk ways, trouble spots, and cut flowers. Great back ground plant for shorter flowers. Also good with shrubs. Flowers attracts hummingbird and butterflies. Seeds attract birds including gold finches. Blooms from late spring through fall. An heirloom variety from the 1800s. A beautiful variety to add to your landscape!
Sowing: Direct sow seeds in spring after danger of frost 1/4 of an inch deep in well drained soil in full sun. Keep soil damp until germination.
