The kernels of Silver Queen sweet corn resemble small translucent pearls. It is so tender it is almost as good to eat raw as cooked. Pure white kernels that stay white even when cooked. It is the classic white sweet corn. The most popular white regular sweet variety for almost 20 years, with superior production and unbelievable flavor. The 8-9 foot stalks yield a great bounty of 8-9 inch ears arrayed in 14-16 rows. It’s resistance to bacterial and Helminthosporium mean even bigger harvests. Dark green leaves with attractive ears. High quality white corn. A classic great summer treat.
Sowing: Plant in full sun outdoors in spring when all danger of frost is past and soil is warm. Sow seeds 1 inch deep in moist well drained soil. Keep seedbed moderately moist during germination.If started indoors first, transplant when 2-3 inches in height.

Information: To extend corn harvest make successive plantings weekly up to mid July. You can also plant early, mid, and late season varieties. To get the best production on your ears plant in several smaller rows rather than one large row, as corn is wind pollinated.
